Safety in the freight and transportation industry
Freight and transportation are the backbone of the economy, but the public has a very poor view of heavy trucks. They are seen as machines that dominate the road and cause collisions, congestion and noise pollution.

From a statistical point of view, heavy truck drivers are safer than car drivers, and the probability of an accident per mile is half that of car drivers, but the size and weight of heavy trucks means that when a collision does occur, the consequences may be much greater.

Generally, the larger the vehicle, the lower the visibility of the driver, and the HGV may have a large number of blind spots on the rear, sides, front, and near sides of the cab. Many accidents involving vulnerable road users, especially cyclists, are caused by near-side blind spots.

Brvision and BreadTalk have established a fruitful long-term cooperation
Brvision and BreadTalk have established a fruitful long-term cooperation
BreadTalk sees the huge benefits of installing Brvision’s mobile digital video recording and recording system
BreadTalk Paris provides express solutions for the consignment of consignments and is the leading dedicated consignment network in Europe.

As vehicles operate in various environments, a certain degree of vehicle damage is inevitable. Paris hopes to reduce the number of accidents in order to prevent the costs associated with vehicle damage and improve the safety of vehicles and drivers.

They installed brvision’s RVC16 camera surveillance system to improve all-round visibility and MDVR-4 mobile digital recording system. The compact hard disk can record up to 1020 hours of footage. It can record real-time images and data such as time, date, location and speed at the same time, providing irrefutable evidence.

The results were impressive. General Manager Billie explained: “In 2015, we installed Brvision’s MDVR on 8 vehicles. Our insurance company paid half of it. Insurance claims fell by 53% during the year and the amount of claims fell by 56%. The insurance premium dropped by 28% the following year. The cost of equipment tripled in the first year.

In addition to insurance claims, BreadTalk Paris has also significantly reduced the incidence of accidents due to the installation of a four-camera system. The system is designed to increase the full range of vision...

...’Among the ten cars equipped with the Brvision camera system, we had zero reversing accidents this year, compared to only six in the previous year. Lane change accidents were reduced from ten to four. We were able to prove to the insurance company that a third-party lane change caused the specific accident by showing the MDVR footage.

  • Camera monitoring system
Camera monitoring systems can help eliminate blind spots in vehicles to prevent collisions. The camera can be used to cover the rear, side and front blind spots as well as the internal vision and monitor specific functions of the vehicle. Multiple camera images can be viewed on a single in-cab monitor.
  • Radar obstacle detection
By providing graded audible and visual warnings in the cab, the driver is notified of the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle, whether it is moving or stationary. BacksenseR radar can work effectively in harsh conditions and low visibility. The custom detection range of the programmable system can be up to 2.5m in length and 1.5m in width. 2.3 or 4 sensor systems can inform the driver of the distance between the vehicle and any obstacle, whether it is moving or stationary. Improve safety during low-speed maneuvers, reversing, or near side and front blind spots where pedestrians and cyclists may go undetected.
  • Mobile hard disk video recorder
By simultaneously recording the shots of up to eight on-board cameras, the digital recorder can provide irrefutable evidence in the event of an accident. The lockable hard drive can store up to 1,164 hours of data, (optional memory size up to 2TB). These data can be easily accessed via a PC or uploaded via a 4G network or dedicated WiFi.
