Safety in the Distribution Industry
With the distribution industry booming and an increased demand for home-delivery and courier services, it is essential that delivery vehicles operate efficiently yet safely. Distribution fleets encounter numerous hazards on busy urban roads, resulting in collisions and vehicle damage.
Having to manoeuver in tight spaces, negotiate parked vehicles and stop-and-start amongst pedestrians and other vulnerable road users means driver visibility is fundamental. Added to the pressure of delivering goods on time, it makes the need for visibility aids and warning systems more important than ever.

BEST and brvision reached a partnership to adopt brvision camera monitor rear view system
BEST and brvision reached a partnership to adopt brvision camera monitor rear view system
Logistics solution provider BEST yashi has a fleet of 716 vehicles ranging from sprint trucks to double-decker trailers. They installed brvision’s brvision camera monitor rear view system, and previously installed other similar products that did not meet the standard.

BEST partners installed the brvision camera monitor rear view system, which is a smart camera monitoring system that can seamlessly splice the real-time images generated by four ultra-wide-angle cameras into a bird’s-eye view. This image appears on the driver’s monitor, effectively eliminating all blind spots.

The brvision camera monitor rear view system is suitable for all applications and is designed to help vehicle operators perform low-speed operations. BEST driver Jack Li said: “Before installing the brvision camera monitor rear view system, whenever you drive into the city with a cyclist, you will constantly look in the mirror, but now with the omni-directional system, you only need Just look at the monitor and you can see vehicles and pedestrians from all angles. This is really a great help.

Since installing the brvision camera monitor rear view system, BEST yashi has been awarded FE gold status. Vincent WAN concluded:

"After installing products that did not meet the standard before, the quality of brvision’s equipment is much better in terms of waterproofing and other aspects. The brvision camera monitor rear view system is a better product."

Safety Solutions for Distribution
  • Camera monitoring system
Camera monitoring systems can help eliminate blind spots in vehicles to prevent collisions. The camera can be used to cover the rear, side and front blind spots as well as the internal vision and monitor specific functions of the vehicle. Multiple camera images can be viewed on a single in-cab monitor.
  • Radar obstacle detection
By providing graded audible and visual warnings in the cab, the driver is notified of the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle, whether it is moving or stationary. BacksenseR radar can work effectively in harsh conditions and low visibility. The custom detection range of the programmable system can be up to 2.5m in length and 1.5m in width. 2.3 or 4 sensor systems can inform the driver of the distance between the vehicle and any obstacle, whether it is moving or stationary. Improve safety during low-speed maneuvers, reversing, or near side and front blind spots where pedestrians and cyclists may go undetected.
  • Mobile hard disk video recorder
By simultaneously recording the shots of up to eight on-board cameras, the digital recorder can provide irrefutable evidence in the event of an accident. The lockable hard drive can store up to 1,164 hours of data, (optional memory size up to 2TB). These data can be easily accessed via a PC or uploaded via a 4G network or dedicated WiFi.
